San Francisco, CA – TEECOM, a leading technology consulting firm, is proud to announce that ten team members have earned their Construction Documents Technologist (CDT®) certification from the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). This milestone was made possible through the leadership of Breanna Sieferman, Principal Consultant, who organized study groups, developed shared resources, and guided participants through the certification process.
Sieferman’s initiative reflects TEECOM’s culture of collaboration and continuous learning. By coordinating study sessions across multiple disciplines, she empowered colleagues to deepen their understanding of the construction documentation process and strengthen their technical communication with architects, engineers, and contractors.
“Breanna’s leadership exemplifies how our people drive TEECOM’s success,” said Jeff Smith, Principal, Vice President. “She turned a professional goal into a shared learning experience that has elevated our entire team’s capabilities. We’re incredibly proud of all ten team members who earned their CDT certification and of every TEECOM employee who continues to pursue professional licenses and certifications that strengthen our collective expertise.”
The CDT certification demonstrates a professional’s comprehensive understanding of how construction documents are developed, organized, and administered. It covers essential knowledge spanning project delivery methods, contract documents, and the roles and responsibilities of each party involved in the design and construction process.
The ten newest CDT-certified TEECOM team members include Justin Albrecht, Principal, Senior Consultant; Kyle Bentancourt, Associate Principal, Project Manager; Austin Edell, Associate Principal; Seth Holland, Designer; Meijun Liu, Designer; Breanna Sieferman, Principal Consultant; Charlie Studebaker, Associate Principal; Adam Wrzeski, Principal, Senior Consultant; Bruce Yoch, Principal Consultant; and Ryan Zickmund, Principal Consultant. They join 23 colleagues who already hold the credential, bringing the firm’s total number of CDT-certified professionals to 33.
“Our goal wasn’t just to pass an exam, it was to strengthen how we collaborate and communicate as designers,” said Sieferman. “Understanding the language of construction documents helps us better align our work with architects, engineers, and contractors, which ultimately improves project outcomes for our clients.”
For TEECOM, this accomplishment reinforces the firm’s ability to integrate its technology disciplines including acoustics, audiovisual, ICT/telecom, network, security, and wireless within the broader architectural and engineering design process. It ensures TEECOM’s deliverables align seamlessly with client and consultant documentation, supporting smoother coordination and more efficient project outcomes.
