SFJAZZ decided to move its offices to a new home in San Francisco’s performing arts district, Hayes Valley. Mark Cavagnero Associates, the lead architect for the project, designed a 700-seat auditorium, an 80-seat multi-purpose ensemble room, 3 rehearsal spaces, a digital learning lab, and a pavement-level restaurant/cafe that features live jazz performances. The new SFJAZZ Center supports advanced technology for performance recording and digital-age broadcasts for global audiences.
